--Co-director, and Greensboro native, Matt DeVries screens what The Associated Press cited as "Exhibit A in the argument for the motion picture academy to retain its short documentary category in the Oscars."  Followed by a discussion on the making of the film and Q & A.  Jarrell Lecture Hall. FREE.

A DOUBLETAKE ON THE STATE OF DOCUMENTARY
--Karen Cirillo, Assistant Director of Film & Programming for Doubletake Documentary Film Festival, talks about the current state of documentary and what the future may hold.  Film clips to be shown.  Jarrell Lecture Hall.

 CFVF 2000:  THE WINNERS SHOW
Because the awards are not chosen by our jurors until Saturday afternoon, the schedule for this evening's program will not be posted.  A list of the winners, however, will be posted shortly after the end of the festival.

Tonight's program, then, will be a rescreening of the winning works in all categories as chosen by our jurors.  
$4 per person. Jarrell Lecture Hall.
