Juror Listing 1999 Homepage Julie Simon's work crosses traditional boundaries. Trained in film and video production, the advent of the new digital media has pushed her thinking off the television screen. Her most recent work manipulates words and images in interactive environments. She's also involved in transforming traditional photographs/video images into animated digital paintings. Julie is on the faculty in the School of Communications Design at the University of Baltimore and holds an M.F.A. in Film and Video Production from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. Her most recent video production Poetry Moves: a Collaboration of Poetry, Performance, and Video received the 1998 CINE Golden Eagle. |
