Proposal description:
Publication venues/CCI Activities/Extramural funding: The CCI Summer Faculty Fellowship will enable us to = organize=20 a workshop in conjunction with the Human Rights Film Series we are = developing for 2007-2008. Our workshop would extend over the = course of the=20 film series (the academic year) as we gather the materials faculty = across=20 the curriculum use in teaching these films. Drawing on the diverse = disciplines and areas of faculty expertise of our larger group of=20 participants, we will create a multimedia library of teaching = resources,=20 available through the CCI website, for these specific films as = well as the=20 larger genre of human rights films; this will make it possible for = all=20 participating faculty, as well as those who teach these films in = the=20 future, to incorporate interdisciplinary methodologies in their=20 classrooms. We will publicize our project through a CCI roundtable = lunch=20 scheduled for September. In addition, our film series and workshop = may=20 become part of the CCI=92s NEH grant project scheduled for next = year.
