The aim of this CCI Workshop is to bring together faculty and graduate students from UNCG in an effort to create scholarly dialogue and to foster an exchange of ideas. The theme, “Sexing the Body” it meant to promote studies of the ways in which gender and sexuality shape human experiences and are embedded in other social practices. It provides participants with an interdisciplinary forum for the development of critical perspectives on gender and sexuality. The workshop meets monthly on the second Wednesday of every month over a brown-bag lunch to discuss pre-circulated papers written by UNCG faculty. To maintain the workshop's interdisciplinary focus, this year's presentations come from many disciplines, including English, Religion, and Art.
Attendees are expected to read the paper in advance of the workshop meeting. The papers are made available via email. All Meetings are 12:00 to 1:00 at the EUC
