Postdoctoral experiences in the Department of Counseling and Educational Development offer counselor educators, administrators, and clinicians opportunities for professional development. Fellows develop their own program that can include conducting research, presenting professional development seminars, teaching seminar courses on special topics of expertise, and providing technical assistance to doctoral students. Since 1991, the Department of Counseling and Educational Development has hosted Fellows/Scholars from areas across the United States as well as from Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, Turkey, Israel, and South Korea.

Academic Fellow
For individuals who have recently completed a doctoral degree, junior faculty members from other institutions, and individuals with
considerable experience in an area of counseling but without a completed doctorate who are seeking specialized study and/or research
opportunities.
Upsilon Nu Chi Visiting Scholar
For accomplished senior faculty, administrators, and clinicians seeking specialized learning and/or research opportunities for
sabbatical or research leave. Applicants must provide evidence of significant accomplishments in their field.
