Graduate students in three courses in the UNCG Department of Counseling and Educational Development have prepared policy guides to inform voters about 2008 election candidates’ positions on a number of issues related to sexuality, career development, and mental health. Please click below to access each of these guidebooks.
On Tuesday, October 28, 2008, CED students hosted the “Your Sex Life, Your Career, Your Mental Health…Your Vote” event in UNCG’s Elliott University Center, between the bookstore and the food court, from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.

(Note: We refer interested readers of these guides to the following web-page to learn more about the 2008 Presidential candidates' positions on family policy issues, some of which are also addressed in the guides on this page: http://www.sph.umd.edu/fmsc/fis/documents/2008FamilyElectionGuide.pdf. The guide found at that web-page was created by students at The University of Maryland, and a similar project done by the UM students in 2004 served as the inspiration for the "Your Sex Life, Your Career, Your Mental Health...Your Vote" project.)
