Chancellor Brady’s presence on the UNCG campus has caused a renewal of energy among University employees. She has set a hardy pace, and she challenges us to keep in step with her as a partner in her vision to transform UNCG into an ever more exciting place to work. Chancellor Brady’s commitment to shared governance and inclusiveness has already given UNCG staff opportunities to shape the University’s core mission/vision and strategic plan to make UNCG a more engaging community for all. In working with her, I have seen that she appreciates the staff’s enthusiasm, concern for students, and devotion to this campus.
The installation of a Chancellor is a unique occasion in the history of a University as the start of a new chapter. As we move into that new chapter under Chancellor Brady’s leadership, the staff of UNCG along with the faculty and students will help her write it.
Whether you have personally met our new chancellor or not, I invite you to share her joy on May 5, when Dr. Brady will formally become the University’s tenth leader. The installation ceremony will be a time to celebrate Chancellor Brady’s arrival at UNCG and to hear what she feels is important in our shared future.
Please plan to join me in Aycock Auditorium at 10:00 am on May 5.
