Student Learning Goals:
At the end of the semester students will:

Demonstrate familiarity with the major monuments of Roman Archaeology in their Historical and Cultural Context
Demonstrate an understanding of the artistic and architectural contributions which the Romans made to Western Civilization

Course Requirements:

Faithful attendance and good note-taking in class. (Students are allowed three unexcused absences and are dropped from the class thereafter.)
Completion of assigned reading on a timely basis.
Two one-hour exams, each worth 30% of final grade.
Two quizzes, worth 10% of final grade.
One Research Paper, 10-12 pages long, worth 30% of final grade. Due December 10th.
