Research Interests
Dr. Beasom's primary research interest is ancient amatory poetry, especially
Latin love elegy and Hellenistic erotic epigram. He is especially fond of Ovid's
poetry. His work examines connections between visuality and visual culture,
rhetoric, and poetry. He is also interested in the prose of the Latin Silver
Age, in particular the works of Tacitus and the letters of Pliny.
