Masters of Science in Computer Science

Minimum Entry Requirements:

  • Programming, data structures, and algorithms in C++ (CSC 130, 230, 330)
  • Computer organization (CSC 261)
  • One of the following:
    • A year of discrete mathematics (MAT 253, 353)
    • A semester of discrete mathematics (MAT 253) and a year of mathematics beyond the freshman level
    • Computer Science courses (CSC 250, 350) These courses will be offered starting Fall 2007.

Entry requirements may be met through course work, evidence of use of the required skills and knowledge in the job, or examination.

Faculty Research Areas:

Current computer science faculty have active research programs in database and knowledge-base systems, human-computer interaction, image processing, computational complexity theory, theory of computation, natural language processing, algorithms, and cryptography and security in computing.
