CSD Preferred Computer Use
If you are buying a new computer, it is recommended that you have a PC rather than a Mac for use in courses and clinic in the Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders. Although Macs will run some Windows software (mainly Microsoft Office), there are software packages related to CSD courses and therapy that are not available for Macs. If you already have a Mac, be aware that you will be responsible for having access to a PC in order to complete assignments. Campus computer labs will not necessarily have the software required on their PC's
