| |  | | Graduate research assistants from a range of departments are integral to fulfilling the Center’s mission. At the Center, research assistants: - Assume major responsibility for monitoring and executing community-based projects
- Present research findings through poster and paper presentations at national conferences as well as through manuscripts submitted for publication
- Bring diverse personal and professional backgrounds to bear on the Center’s work
- Participate in training and technical assistance opportunities
- Collect interview, questionnaire, and observational data from youth, families, and teachers
- Produce fact sheets for community partners on relevant child, family, and community issues
- Make presentations to community groups
- Identify potential grant funding opportunities
- Attend community-based planning meetings and task forces
- Assist in the research, writing, and preparation of grant proposals for external funding
- Manage both qualitative and quantitative databases for ongoing research projects
