Initiatives > Early Childhood Mental Health

Early Childhood Mental Health projects include a collaborative venture with UNCG's Department of Psychology, funded by Guilford County Partnership for Children (Smart Start), to provide family-centered, community-based services and training to day care centers for infants and young children with social and emotional challenges and their families; facilitating a community consortium that examined the prevalence of early childhood behavioral challenges in Guilford County and how to implement best practices to address those challenges; and training and technical assistance to Early
Head Start and Head Start regarding best practices in supporting the social and emotional development of young children and their families.
