Addressing Co-Occurring Disorders through Evidence-Based Training

Because of the strong prevalence of co-occurring mental health and substance abuse disorders, a 3-year training series has been developed that aims to build capacity and expertise among providers to assess and treat co-occurring disorders. This training series will coincide with the Cone Health Foundation’s mental health and substance abuse grantee cycle and run from October 2010-September 2013.

Each year, there will be the following types of training offered, with different topics across each year:

  • Webinar Series on Special Populations
  • 1-day Trainings on Evidence-Based Approaches
  • Intensive, Year-Long Training on An Evidence-Based Approach

We will also offer regular consultation with community providers to tailor upcoming trainings based on requests of what is needed in our community.  Please provide your input on what you would like to see throughout the training series.
