Initiatives > Project Safe Neighborhoods

Project Safe Neighborhoods (PSN)
is a nationwide commitment to reduce gun crime in America by networking existing local programs that target gun crime and providing those programs with additional tools necessary to be successful. As part of this initiative, each community is to identify a research partner that will assist the community in using existing data to reduce violence and increase the coordination and efficiency of law enforcement efforts. The Center serves as the research partner for the U.S. Attorney’s Office of North Carolina's Middle District. The Center also works with Winston-Salem State University's Center for Community Safety on the communication and
outreach components of PSN.
