, M.Ed. is a PhD student at The University of North Carolina at Greensboro in the department of Human Development and Family Studies. She received her bachelor's and master's degree from the University of Oklahoma in early childhood education with an emphasis on curriculum. Her research interests include early childhood teacher preparation and professional development as well as measuring and defining classroom quality in early childhood programs. She has worked in the field of early care and education in a variety of ways including as an infant/toddler, preschool, kindergarten,and school-age teacher, a child care director, and as a community college instructor teaching courses in behavior guidance, early childhood program administration, curriculum, and child development. She is currently working at UNCG's Center for Youth, Family, and Community Partnerships as a teacher mentor with the Head Start InStep project.
