
Section Description/Goal
The goal of this section is to promote youth and family-driven planning and care across systems through the development and implementation of training that engages youth, families, and organizations in learning and capacity building.
The Training and Practice Application Section seeks to take best practice and research and translate information into experiential, active training methods. This section assists in the coordination and collaboration of similar projects and curriculum design across CYFCP. Collaboration across CYFCP initiatives ensures the same understanding of training and creates a common language for development of future courses.
The Training and Practice Application Section also offers courses and technical support to assist communities in creating local training teams. With a focus on partnering with family members, CYFCP approaches training in communities as one way to support independent sustainability of ongoing learning. Through trainer skills development, course offerings, training of trainers, and other avenues for creating learning environments, CYFCP hopes to ensure high quality, family driven training conducted across North Carolina on a regular basis.
