- May 2006 Choreographing/directing “One by One by Once Upon a Time,” at Manbites Dog Theater, Durham, NC. In this dance-theater piece, Manning and long-time collaborator Derrick Ivey explore the nature of relationships, both famous and mundane. Manning and Ivey will croon, carouse, waltz and whine their way through a mini-master narrative, picking it apart as they go, one by one, into the kingdom of "happily ever after."
