Faculty member selected for the Houle Engaged Scholar Program

Leah Totten has been selected for the Houle Engaged Scholars program, a collaboration of doctoral candidate/faculty mentor pairs who will be working to develop effective ways to prepare future faculty for community-engaged careers, and to contribute to the knowledge base on engaged scholarship to assist graduate students and faculty. The collaboration includes eight candidate/mentor pairs that will work together over the next year to apply, extend, codify, and disseminate their experience in community engagement, mentoring, and research. Her faculty mentor partner is Steve May, her dissertation advisor.

The program is funded by the Kellogg Foundation and administered by NC State University and Pennsylvania State University.
