In the Public Domain: Sustaining Our Work

Beginning in the year 2004, students involved in The Storytelling Project at UNCG began employing stories that are in the public domain. Most of these stories can be found on the shelves of UNCG'S Jackson Library. All of them have been copyright protected in 1923 or earlier.

Here the UNCG students offer the stories they told to children in the Greensboro community as a way for this important work to sustain long after their course of study ends.

The Stories (PDF files):

How the Sun, Moon and Wind Went to Dinner

The White Dove

Comrades

Who Asks Little, Receives Much

The Immortal Fountain

The Ape, The Snake, and The Lion!

The Animals’ Winter Home

The Tale of Forty-Seven Ronin

Momotaro; Or, the Peach Boy

The Tsar's Son-in-Law

Parable of the Good Samaritan
