Held at the Center for Creative Leadership, Greensboro, NC.  Workshop sponsored by the Office of Research Services, University of North Carolina at Greensboro (October 17, 2002).

 

NCPublic Schools Program Approval Training. Conducted by Kathy Sullivan, Parmalee Hawk, and Alexander Erwin in Raleigh, NC.  The purpose of the training was to prepare persons to serve as members of State Visitation teams that will review the Specialty Area programs at public and private institutions of higher education (August 5-7, 2002). *Note: Persons were trained using the new Department of Public Instruction program approval standards (core, diversity, technology, and program approval).

 

NC Public Schools Program Approval Training.  Conducted by Section Chief, Dr. Beth Allan, in the UNCG School of Education.  The purpose of the training was to prepare persons to serve as members of State Visitation teams that will review the Specialty Area programs at public and private institutions of higher education (April 1 and 2, 2002).  *Note:  Persons were trained using the old Department of Public Instruction program approval standards (1-20).

 

Introduction to Blackboard Training. Training conducted by Spangler personnel in the Teaching Learning Center (TLC) at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. (August 3, 2001).

 

NC Catalyst Workshop. Training conducted for UNCG secondary program teacher education faculty and cooperating teachers for the purpose of introducing and aligning the National Educational Technology Standards for Student (ISTE)

With the NC Advanced Technology Competencies.  Technology portfolio assessment and software/netware exploration was included (April 20 and May 4, 2001).

 

SASinSchool Faculty Training. Training conducted for teacher education faculties at University of North Carolina at Greensboro, North Carolina A&T State University, and Fayetteville State University. Held on the campus of North Carolina A&T State University (November 8, 2000).

 

Invited participant in the Samford Summer Institute for Teacher Education. Held on the campus of Samford University, Birmingham, Alabama. Sponsored by the Southeast Regional Vision Consortium (SERVE). [A team – one university faculty, one school principal, and two school faculty members - were selected as one of three teams representing North Carolina among the six southeastern states in the United States.  Jackson Middle School of the Guilford County Public Schools was the middle school invited to attend (June 16-19, 2000).

 

Participant in ÒMoving Your Course Online: A Workshop on Developing Distance Education Courses.Ó A five-day workshop on designing courses for the web sponsored by the University Teaching and Learning Center and the Division of Continual Learning of the University of North Carolina at Greensboro.
