Technique Enrollment Policy

To ensure an optimal learning environment for all students, to ensure that Dance majors can meet graduation requirements in a timely manner, to ensure fairness for all students, and to make the best use of faculty time, the Department of Dance will follow the procedure detailed below for pre-registration in Fall, 2008 Ballet and Contemporary classes.

Currently, I am living in beautiful Brooklyn, New York
and teaching private pilates and mat classes. I have
been collaborating with UNCG Alumni Donnell Turner and
David Schmidt as part of everything smaller, our
collaborative modern dance company, since October of
2002. In addition to performing in the New York metro
area, everything smaller has travelled to Arizona, New
Jersey, North Carolina, Philadelphia, and Vermont,
offering a variety of master classes, composition

I am living in New York City. I started a dance company, Urban Wash
Dance Company, in which I act as the Artistic Director and
Choreographer. We have performed
at the Williamsburg Art neXus (WAX), Dance Space Center, the HATCH
Performance Series, and Dancers Reponding to AIDS remember project
2003. We have our first
home season at University Settlement, March 12-13, 2004. UNCG
graduates Christal Brown, Jessica Jolly, and Leigh Heflin have/are
performing with Urban Wash.
I have also performed for Millicent Johnnie, Mereminne Dancers, and
Esse Aficianado. I teach ballet and hip-hop at a private studio as well
as waiting tables at night.

Urban Wash Dance Company had itīs first concert in March 2004. Rebekah set a solo on Christal Brown
which she performed in the concert and at the Spring HATCH Performance
Series. She is applying for a concert at the Joyce SoHo for the Fall season.
Barry Stoneking has invited Urban Wash to perform in his concert, scheduled for May 21-22 at the Weaver Center in Greensboro.
Rebekah will teach a modern class at the Cultural Arts Center in Greensboro that same weekend.
