Technique Placement Class

Our next placement class for students interested in taking technique classes and who are not placed at a level will be on Tuesday, January 19, 2010 at 5pm in studio 322. Registration is not required.

 

Undergraduate Dance Audition:

Our next audition for prospective dance majors will be on April 3, 2010. Registration for the audition is required and interested students should submit a completed Audition Request Form to the Department. The registration deadline for the April 3, 2010 audition is Friday, March 26, 2010.

Amy Yopp Sullivan, MFA

Amy Yopp Sullivan is an Associate Professor in the Department of Theatre Arts at the State University of New York at Stony Brook. She is currently developing The Body/Mind Performance Lab, based on the university campus. This lab examines embodied cognition and performance with an interdisciplinary team representing industry, science, social science, technology, and the arts. Sullivan is a past Lilly Teaching Fellow and a recipient of numerous awards including the President and Chancellor's award for Teaching Excellence at SUNY, the Woman of the Year in the Arts award from the community and the town of Brookhaven, a Presidential Merit Award for teaching and creative work from Western Illinois University, and first prize from the Society for Creative Research. She holds distinguished membership in the Society for Collegiate Scholars, is a member of the Blue Key Honor Fraternity, is currently a member of National Dance Educators Association, Congress on Research in Dance, and dance and the Child international.
