From Katie:
This notice is to inform all interested and concerned parties of my new
career status. After exploring 6 different counties in one of the
biggest metropolitan areas in the country (with only one dance
education opening this summer), I am now gainfully employed with the
Baltimore County schools as a dance educator on a contractual basis!
My new position will include delivering integrated language arts based
dance to Title I pre-Kindergarten classes on a weekly basis. This will
be a traveling position, as I will travel to 20 of the countyīs 40
Title I schools and will work with each pre-K class individually.
Additionally, I will work with one school in particular, focusing on
integrated dance with the Kindergarten and first grade students. This
is particularly exciting for me, as the principal has chosen to expand
the program this year to include the current students in first grade
who participated in the program last year as Kindergartners.
Possibilities for expansion into other grade levels have been discussed
as well.
