Technique Placement Class

Our next placement class, for placement in contemporary and ballet technique classes, will be on Monday, August 25 at 5pm in studio 322. Attending this class will allow for possible higher placement in both ballet and contemporary classes. Please come prepared to participate in both areas of dance.

All performances take place in the UNCG Dance Theater located at the corner of Walker Avenue and Kenilworth St, unless otherwise noted.

Evening performances begin at 8PM. Matinees begin at 2PM.

THURS, 9/4 at 8PM | Frank Vulpi Concert: An Evening of Music ($12 general admission; $9 seniors and children; $6 students)
An evening of music performed by UNCG Dance Department's music coordinator, lecturer, and accompanist, Frank Vulpi.

SAT, 9/27 at 8PM | Alumni Homecoming Dance Concert ($12 general admission; $9 seniors and children; $6 students)
An evening of dance work created and performed by UNCG Dance Department alumni.

WED-THURS, 10/15-16 at 8PM | North Carolina Dance Festival ($15 general admission; $12 seniors and children; $9 students) HELD IN AYCOCK AUDITORIUM
The Festival is an annual showcase of North Carolina dance artists that travels to six communities. Unique in the country and now a North Carolina institution, the event began in 1991 as a weekend of concerts in the UNC-Greensboro Dance Theater, showcasing dance artists from across the state.

THURS-SAT, 11/6-8 at 8PM | Cyrus Art Production
($15 general admission; $12 seniors and children; $9 students)
UNCG Dance Department's faculty member Duane Cyrus' dance company, Cyrus Art Production, will perform. It is an organization that presents interdisciplinary dance and theater in unique and thought-provoking events. Born from the founder's vision to test the boundaries of dance presentation, Cyrus Art Production has evolved into an organization that brings together various artistic disciplines including dance, music, drama, video, and photography to create an experience that is accessible, intellectually engaging, and entertaining.

THURS-SAT, 11/20-22 at 8PM | John Gamble Dance Theatre ($15 general admission; $12 seniors and children; $9 students)
Original choreography by Dance Department faculty member John Gamble, who is also founder of the John Gamble Dance Theatre.
