Excess Absences by Students
If a student has excessive absences in your class to the point that the final grade is likely to be below a C-, you should notify the Office of Student Academic Services (SAS) by using the form from SAS (available in the Dance Office). This form will drop the student from your class if the student does not contact you within 8 working days of the notice. For technique classes, students must actually participate in 80% of class meetings in order to receive a passing grade. All policies regarding attendance and grade penalties for absence/lateness must be put on the syllabus.
