Gay has been Professor Emeritus of the UNCG Department of Dance for 4 years. She served on the UNCG Dance Faculty for twenty years, four of which she served as Department Head. Gay is also a founder of dance programs at American University in Washington D.C. and Californina State University, Hayward. She is presently involved in perfoming at retirement homes and senior citizen centers and is coordinator for Earth Day 2000 in Guilford County, NC.
