Costume Contract- MA Grad Handbook
Procedures for checking out a costume from the Costume Room:
- Peruse the items in the Costume Room Inventory Notebook found in the Dance Department Office
- Select items you wish to view by writing down the Box # and a brief description of the item(s).
- Make an appointment with the assigned GA/TA to view the items.
- If you make a selection, sign the agreement below and return to GA/TA.
All costumes in the Costume Room Inventory are available for student use. Students must be officially enrolled during the semester they use them. Any changes, alterations, or additions made to the costumes must first be approved, in writing, by Dance Department Faculty. If approved, the student can make the changes described in the letter and must notify the assigned TA/GA when returning the costumes. Do not smoke, eat, or drink in costumes. All costumes borrowed MUST:
Be returned within one week after the scheduled performance date.
Be appropriately cleaned after use. Please hand wash all garments in cold water and hang to dry. If in doubt, dry clean!
Be returned to the assigned TA/GA in person so that they can be checked for damage, properly signed-in, and returned to the costume room. Do not ask the secretary to do this for you!
CONTRACT:
I have read and understand the policy for borrowing costumes from the UNCG Costume Room. Failure to return costumes or returning costumes uncleaned or damaged will result in penalties determined by the Dance Faculty. If you are a graduating senior, please be warned that unreturned costumes can keep you from graduating.
