Graduate Forum - MA Grad Handbook
Dance faculty and full-time graduate students gather several times each semester for formal or informal presentations and/or discussion of ideas related to scholarly and creative practices within the department and the wider field. These graduate forums, as they are called, inculcate a strong and supportive sense of community among faculty and graduate students on campus, and provide a valuable extra-curricular opportunity for enrichment for dance artists, teachers, and thinkers within the department´s various graduate programs, who might not otherwise interact with and learn from one another. Graduate students are invited and encouraged to propose, organize, and lead graduate forums, the planning for which takes place early each semester. See the Graduate Coordinator and/or the Department Head if you would like to organize or participate in the organization of a graduate forum. The schedule of graduate forums is posted each semester on the bulletin board outside the TA office (room 220 G).
