The Department of Dance offers
two undergraduate degree programs: B.F.A. and B.A., and a Dance Minor.
An UNDERGRADUATE DANCE AUDITION is required for admission to the major (degree programs).

| (B.F.A.) in Dance is a pre-professional degree program that recognizes special ability and potential in the aspect of modern dance as a performing art. A candidate for the B.F.A must demonstrate high quality work in the areas of choreography, performance, and modern dance techniques, as well as fulfill the academic program requirements. | (B.A.) is an option for those who desire a liberal arts emphasis, a double major, or those who have specific dance education needs not emphasized in the other degree programs. Individualization is possible within this degree, with a variety of capstone courses available. |

| is available for students not wishing to specialize, but who have an interest in dance and want to complement their chosen major with dance study. Students wishing to declare a minor may do so online: https://web.uncg.edu/reg/secure/majorchange.asp. | Licensure for teaching dance in K-12 schools is available for students enrolled in either the BFA or the BA in Dance. |
