UNCG’s Development Office and the Corporate Relations Committee selected Betsy S. Barrett as the CRC's Chairperson for 2005-2006. Betsy is currently Senior Vice President / HR Business Partner at Wachovia, Piedmont Triad Region. Previous to this position, Betsy was Regional HR Manager for the organization. She has been with Wachovia since 1988. Betsy is a graduate of UNC-Chapel Hill and the School for Bank Administration in Madison, Wisconsin.
Over the next year, Betsy would like to see the CRC continue to build partnerships between UNCG and the business community. She would also like CRC members to become even stronger advocates for the University. On a personal note, Betsy believes that the link between improving our schools and the success of the corporate community is strong. In her view, UNCG plays a vital role in both; she would like to make sure that the CRC helps in this effort.
