Expo Speakers Challenge Higher Education to be Demand-Driven
Businesses and universities should regard each other as buyers and manufacturers of educated workers if the U.S. is to compete in the global economy, according to Robert McDowell, vice president for information worker business value at Microsoft.
“There is a real disconnect between business and higher education about what the real needs are,” McDowell told an audience of about 100 business and higher education leaders at UNCG. “We can't find enough talent coming out of the U.S. school system.” (Read more)
