Summit Focuses on Business Solutions

UNCG will host its 2nd annual UNCG Business Summit (formerly Corporate Expo) on Tuesday, October 23 from 7:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Located in the Cone Ballroom at the Elliott University Center of the UNCG campus, the event is expected to attract a large crowd of business professionals as well as UNCG faculty and staff. President and CEO of FedEx Express David J. Bronczek will be the keynote speaker. Bronczek heads the largest business unit of the FedEx Corporation, with responsibility for 300,000 employees. FedEx Express is the hub that will open in Greensboro in 2009. (Read more)

UNCG Builds Student-Corporate Relationships

On August 29th hundreds of UNCG students crowded into the Cone Ballroom to take part in UNCG's Part-Time job fair, held every semester. Drawing in over 40 employers, the part-time job fair is held in concert with a career fair later in the semester. (Read more)

AARP To Introduce Workforce Assessment Tool to UNCG

As part of a very select number of universities nationwide, UNCG will host an AARP-sponsored Business Roundtable Luncheon on mature workforce issues. The event will be held on Thursday, November 8, 2007 from 11:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. in the Alexander Room of the Elliot University Center. Sponsored by AARP, the UNCG Graduate School and the Business Forum on Aging, it will feature a keynote program by Deborah Russell, Director of AARP Workforce Issues. (Read more)

Entrepreneurial Seminars on Race, Gender and Ethinicity Begin Sept 19

Six seminars aimed at teaching the fundamentals of entrepreneurship and addressing the impact of race, gender and ethnicity on entrepreneurship and small businesses will be presented by the Bryan School of Business and Economics in conjunction with the College of Arts and Sciences at UNCG.
