research and education programs. An endowment will ensure continued funding of
the programs and studies focused on women's health issues.

stipends and grants to students who participate in unpaid community service.

Initiatives
These provide opportunities for students to engage and serve the community in
a variety of nursing capacities, including the School of Nursing Health Centers
that are dedicated to service-learning based clinical education and community
service.

This center was established as a result of the Chancellor's initiative to better
serve immigrant and refugee communities in the state. An endowment will provide
permanent funding.
