Make a pledge
A good way to make a greater gift to UNCG is to pledge payments spread
over time. Your pledge payments may be projected into the future for
up to five years.
Make a gift of stocks or securities
Ask your brokerage firm to transfer ownership of the stock to The UNCG
Excellence Foundation account at Merrill Lynch in Greensboro, NC. The
Depository Trust Company Number (DTC#) for the Greensboro office is
5198. The UNCG Excellence Foundation number is 746-04117. Please let
us know when you have requested the transfer; your call is our only
signal that the gift is forthcoming.

Planned Gifts
Many of us are in the habit of giving an annual gift. But what about
the future? We can make an impact beyond our times when we include
UNCG in our estate plans.
Deferred or planned gifts benefit the university well into the future.
There are many appropriate ways in which you can make a gift of major
impact, continue to receive income from your assets, and receive substantial
tax benefit.

Matching Gifts
More than 1,000 corporations and businesses now have programs to match
employee gifts of cash either in whole or in part. In some cases, gifts
from spouses, directors and retired employees are matched. We urge
you to explore this possibility as it can double or, in some cases,
triple a gift. Ask your employer.
If you know your company will match your gift, send the appropriate
form to UNCG with your gift, and we will send it on for payment.
