Undergraduate Recruitment Scholarships       $50,000

Undergraduate recruitment scholarships will be administered by the Office of Financial Aid, with the goal of recruiting and retaining top students on the basis of merit and/or financial need. The target population for these renewable scholarships will be the pool of students who qualify for but are not awarded scholarships through the Merit Award Program.

Spartan Athletic Scholarships      $50,000

The University's athletic program enriches university life at many levels, the most significant of which is the attracting to UNCG of the over 200 men and women who compete in 14 sports. Spartan Athletic Scholarships support these student athletes, who have proven themselves both in the classroom -- with higher grade point averages and graduation rates than the typical undergraduate student -- and in competition.

Undergraduate Scholarships      $25,000

These scholarships, created by outright gifts and testamentary gifts, comprise the backbone of the University's program of scholarships raised from private sources. They can be awarded on the basis of financial need, academic achievement, or some other talent. They may be restricted to specific academic disciplines, although unrestricted scholarships are preferred because of their flexibility.

Undergraduate and Graduate Student Awards      $10,000

Income generated by these funds might mean a reward for a job well done, an opportunity to gain valuable professional experience, or a chance to go places or do things one has never done before. Student awards assist students in honors projects, undergraduate research, dissertations, study abroad, internships, and countless other projects.

Program and Activity Support      $10,000
