Melissa Elmes, Ph.D. candidate in Medieval Literature, has been accepted into the Folger Institute's spring semester seminar, "The Scale of Catastrophe: Ecology and Transition, Medieval to Early Modern."
The Graduate Studies Committee has awarded Leah Milne the Mildred Kates Dissertation Fellowship Award for 2014-2015. Her dissertation is entitled: "Necessary Fictions: Authorship and Transethnic Identities in Contemporary American Narratives."

Maria Sanchez and Amy Vines will share the 2014-15 Marc Friedlaender Faculty Excellence Award.
