AWRN Publications, Grants, Curriculum, and Diversity

Many faculty have produced articles, collections, books, exhibits, displays, and installations related to Atlantic World themes. We plan to advertise such research and creative work in this space.

In addition, some other possible projects include the following:

--Some possible publishing projects, including conference proceedings, a proposed anthology of early modern transatlantic women writers, and a possible transatlantic anthology of British and American literature appropriate for sophomore surveys.

--The possible founding of an online Journal of Atlantic World Studies.

--The possible creation of interdisciplinary Atlantic World courses, developed with the help of money like that from a recent $675,000 Mellon grant to the University of Minnesota for interdisciplinary curricula.

--Initiatives in experimental team teaching among departments and across disciplinary lines.

--The hiring of more diverse Atlantic World faculty likely to be attracted by innovative interdisciplinary course and program offerings.
