Undergraduate students sometimes bring special cultural and linguistic concerns to your composition class and to their work that we must keep in mind if we are to assist them in communicating successfully. In addition to direct aid you can receive from mentors, peers, and publications in the Composition and Rhetoric department, you may also choose to use some of the following resources in the instruction of special students:

Grogan Learning Communities
Grogan College is designed to enhance students’ academic success and satisfaction with their college experience by providing a supportive living/learning community of students and faculty with common interests. Many of our English 101 sections are connected to the Grogan learning communities, and instructors are encouraged to have some of their reading and writing assignments reflect the skills or interests of these groups. You can learn more about Grogan students on their website: http://www.uncg.edu/grc/index.htm. Home • Faculty • TAs • Resources • Related Sites • English Dept • Writing Center
