Jennifer Grotz is the author of Cusp (Houghton Mifflin, 2003), which received both the Bakeless Prize for Poetry and the Best First Book of Poetry Award from the Texas Institute of Letters. Her poems, translations, essays and reviews have appeared in journals such as New England Review, Ploughshares, Kenyon Review, Virginia Quarterly Review, and Boston Review as well as in anthologies including Best American Poetry and Legitimate Dangers. She also serves as the Assistant Director of the Bread Loaf Writers Conference and for the past five years has co-organized the Krakow Poetry Seminar. She received an MFA and MA from Indiana University and the PhD from University of Houston. She teaches creative writing and contemporary poetry.
