Is the OWC a good fit for me?
The OWC is great for working on things like brainstorming, organization, paragraph structure, introductions and conclusions, or transitions. Because chatting takes so much more time than talking in person, the OWC isn't the most efficient resource for grammar concerns. We can help by pointing to patterns of error in your paper, but if you want to do a line-by-line reading of your paper, you can always bring it in!
In person, face to face sessions are great for looking over a paper line-by-line and working on sentence-level issues, like lots of grammar and citation questions. Call 334-3125 or come by MHRA 3211 to have an in person session.
If your paper is 5 pages or less double-spaced, you can drop in at our OWC right now.
If your paper is longer than 5 pages double-spaced, you can make an appointment for our OWC.
