The Writing Center at UNCG
Making an OWC Appointment is easy!
Appointments for the OWC must be made at least 2 days in advance.
There are five easy steps:
1. Register in our database (if you haven't already done so).
2. Make sure your paper is ready to send now.
3. Use AIM to Instant Message "Contact the OWC" to make an appointment for the OWC.
4. Send us your paper.
5. Sign in to AIM 5 minutes before your appointment.
Step 1: Register in our database.

To register (if you have not been to the University Writing Center yet this year):
- Go to the Writing Center welcome page
- Click New User.
- Click Log In.
- Type your UNCG email address (including @uncg.edu) and your name.
- Choose your year in school.
- Choose your first/native language.
- Make your password the word "password" (there is no protected data, and this allows us to create a chat window for you).
- Click Register.
- After registration is complete, make sure your paper is ready to send now.
