The Department of Exercise and Sport Science at the University of North Carolina Greensboro received initial CAATE Accreditation of its Entry-Level Master of Science in Athletic Training (MSAT) program in April 2003.
The Entry-level MSAT degree is designed to prepare graduates of the program for the national Board of Certification (BOC) Exam leading them to a career as a certified athletic trainer.
The program is designed as a traditional 2 year MSAT program for those students who have already completed a Bachelor's degree. UNCG also offers an accelerated version of the MSAT program for individuals who complete their undergraduate degree at UNCG. You can learn more about the details of our program in our Athletic Training Student Handbook.
Traditional MS Plan of StudyWe also offer sports medicine/athletic training graduate programs of study through our Applied Neuromechanics Research Laboratory for students who are already BOC certified. Please click here for more information.
