Research assistants are evaluated each term by faculty responsible for their supervision. The results of this evaluation are forwarded to the Departmental Office by the end of the first month following conclusion of the term and will become part of the student's file.
No later than the first week of the term, the supervisor meets with the research assistant. At the conclusion of this meeting both the supervisor and faculty member execute the "Memorandum of Agreement" to describe his/her (the supervisor's) expectations for the research assistant's performance.
During the final week of the term the supervisor again meets with the research assistant. The purpose of this meeting is to provide the supervisor an opportunity to share his/her evaluation of the research assistant's performance. At the conclusion of this meeting both the supervisor and research assistant execute the "Semester Report on Performance."
If the research assistant would like to respond to the supervisor's evaluation of his/her performance, written comments should be placed on the reverse side of the "Semester Report on Performance," signed and dated by the research assistant.
