- Annual initiation ceremony: Tuesday, April 12, 2011at 7:00 p.m. in the Weatherspoon. The speaker was Dr. Benjamin Filene, UNCG Director of Public History.
- Luncheon with new initiates April 5, 2011
- Spring General Membership meeting: on Monday, February 28th from 3:30-5:00 p.m. in the Azalea Room of Elliott University Center.
- Congratulations to inductee Sofia Aidemark! Read about her accomplishments here.
- "Whether with a nine iron or a laptop, UNCG's first international student to be Phi Beta Kappa made her mark...The student from Sweden wasn't so fluent in English. Then she stepped up her game and, sporting a 3.97 GPA three years later, became UNCG's first student assisted by the International Programs Office to be Phi Beta Kappa."

- Annual initiation ceremony: Tuesday, April 20, 2010, at 7 p.m. in the Weatherspoon Auditorium. The speaker was Dr. Andrew C. Brod, Director of the Center for Business and Economic Research at UNCG's Bryan School of Business and Economics.
- Drop-In Luncheon for New Initiates and Phi Beta Kappa Members, April 6, 2010 11:30-1:00 at the Faculty Center.
- General Membership Meeting, Wednesday, March 3, 2010 3:30-5:00 in the Joyner Room of the EUC.
- We hosted Dr. Lisa Pratt as a PBK visiting Scholar October 14-16, 2009. Dr. Pratt is Provost Professor of Geological Sciences at Indiana University, Director of a NASA Astrobiology Institute Team, and Chair of the NASA Science Advisory Group developing a 2018 mission concept for the next generation Mars Rover. The following events were included:
- Tues. 10/6, 7:30 pm: “Life in the Solar System,” Dr. Steve Danford, at the “Science on Tap Series” at the Green Bean, 321 S. Elm St., Greensboro
- Wed. 10/14, 4:00-6:30 p.m.: Showing and discussion of the film, "Close Encounters of the Third Kind," in McIver 028.
- Thurs. 10/15: 8:00 PBK breakfast with Dr. Pratt. RSVP to Steve Danford.
- Thurs. 10/15: Noon. Lunch with Geography Club and Physics Students. “Radiolysis & Microbial Life” in Petty 308.
- Thurs. 10/15 at 2:30 p.m.: Related Lecture "Permafrost and Methane Clathrates on Earth and Mars." in Graham 116.
- Thurs. 10/15 at 8 p.m.: Public Lecture "Seeking Signs of Life on Mars" in Bryan 160.

- Annual initiation ceremony: Tuesday, April 24, 2007 in the Weatherspoon Auditorium. Dr. William E. Moran, UNCG Chancellor Emeritus spoke on the "Rising Performance Requirements for Higher Education."
- Dr. William E. Moran, UNCG Chancellor Emeritus, and Dr. Patricia A. Sullivan, UNCG Chancellor, were inducted into the society as honorary members.

- The Phi Beta Kappa Couper Scholars Lecture was Tuesday, April 4, 2006, in the Annie Merner Pfeiffer Chapel at Bennett College for Women. The speaker was Dr. Joyce Appleby, Professor Emerita of History at UCLA speaking on the topic “Coming to Terms with Thomas Jefferson.”
- Annual initiation ceremony: April 20, 2006 in the Brown Building Theater. Dr. Peggy O’Brien, an educational programming innovator with the Corporation for Public Broadcasting, spoke about "True Intelligence"
