HHP Locker Room Renovations

Construction is in progress to provide a complete demolition and renovation of the current locker room facilities in the Health and Human Performance Building. The project will include an efficient reorganization of the space to meet the University's current and future needs. The project will provide general-use locker rooms and dedicated locker rooms for all team sports except men's baseball and golf and women's golf as they are housed elsewhere. The entire plumbing, mechanical and electrical systems will be replaced with new code compliant systems. Construction was scheduled to be completed by Summer 2011. Project closeout in progress.

Quad Residence Halls Comprehensive Renovations

This project will renovate and modernize seven Quad residence halls for Housing and Residence Life. This project will include the complete interior demolition and comprehensive renovation of seven existing residence hall buildings originally constructed between 1920 and 1923 (Cotton, Bailey, Hinshaw, Coit, Shaw, Jamison, and Gray). These seven buildings total approximately 239,700 gross square feet. Also included in the project will be exterior building envelope repairs and waterproofing, replacement of the existing windows with new energy efficient windows, and ADA accessibility improvements, including ramps and elevators. Improvements will be made to the existing site and underground utilities. Existing chilled water lines will be extended to the buildings and the existing site storm sewer systems will be improved. There will be a Living & Learning Center component to the project which will include offices and classrooms. Construction began in May of 2011 and will be completed in the Summer of 2012.

Dining Hall Renovation

Renovations to the existing Dining Hall facilities began in June 2011 with the installation of site utilities. The remainder of the construction will be accomplished in several phases in order to maintain service delivery in the building year-round. The project scope includes the construction of a new addition on the west side of the existing building which faces the fountain and the Quad. The renovations include Dining Services Administration offices; various retail dining venues, including national brands; a full service all-you-care-to-eat board plan (cafeteria); and a retail restaurant. The project is primarily intended to modernize the dining service points to continue to allow for high volume food service while improving the customer experience. All building engineering systems – plumbing, fire protection, electrical and HVAC systems will be replaced. Construction is planned for completion in March 2014.

Curry Building Renovation

This project will include the renovation of interior finishes; paint and new carpet and floor finishes; ventilation of the auditorium crawl space; and replacement of existing auditorium plaster ceiling and light fixture. Construction is scheduled for completion in May 2012.
