School of Education Building
Construction is in progress on a new building for the School of Education. The new building will be approximately 108,700 square feet in area and will be located south of the Bryan Building in the current parking lot between Stirling and Kenilworth Streets and will front on Spring Garden Street. The building will house the School of Education and a number of general university classrooms ranging in size from 40 seats to 300 seats.
Construction began May 2009.

Bryan Building Fire Alarm System Improvements
Upgrades to the Bryan Building Fire Alarm System are currently being installed. The new system will be an addressable system with voice communications and mass notification capabilities. Construction began March 2009.

Moore, Graham and Mossman Buildings - Fire Alarm System Improvements
Fire alarm system improvements are being installed for the Moore, Graham and Mossman Buildings. The systems will also have voice communications and mass notification capabilities. Construction began May 2009.
Forney Building Renovation
The 1905 Forney Building renovation is the last project in UNCG's 2000 Higher Education Bond Program. The project includes a complete interior renovation, waterproofing, masonry repointing, window replacement and a new roof. All building engineering systems -- plumbing, fire protection, electrical, ITS and HVAC systems are being replaced.
Construction began September 2007.

Health & Human Performance Building Roof Replacement
Coleman Gymnasium and Rosenthal Wing
Construction began this fall on the next phase of replacing the existing roofs on the Health and Human Performance Building. The current low-sloped roofing system over the Coleman Gymnasium will be replaced with a new modified bitumen roofing system. The slate roofs over the Rosenthal Wing will also be replaced. Construction began October 2009.

Baseball Locker and Training Facility
Construction is in progress on a new building dedicated to the baseball team where they can meet, change clothes and store their street clothes during games and practices. Space will be provided for lockers, showers and storage. The project will also include batting cages for practice. Construction begain in October 2009.
