Preserving open spaces and protecting native habitats.

Preparing erosion and sediment control plans for new projects.

Recycling and construction waste management plans.

Reuse of building materials where possible.

Conserving water by incorporating low-flow faucets, shower heads, toilets and urinals.

Use of energy efficient mechanical, electrical and lighting systems, such as occupancy sensors, compact fluorescent & LED lighting and central energy management systems.

Finally, the 2007 Master Plan Update includes sustainable development as a guiding principle in the design and construction of future projects on campus.
