Soon the new School of Health and Human Sciences (HHS) will be formed at UNCG to build on the extensive strengths of health and human development that exist in three departments of the School of Health and Environmental Sciences, four departments of the school of Health and Human Performance, and two programs in the Graduate School . The MS Genetic Counseling Program will join the new School of HHS as of July 1, 2011 ! More information about this restructuring is available on the HHS homepage.

to the UNCG Master of Science Program in Genetic Counseling!

This is a full-time two year (plus intervening summer) program to prepare students with the knowledge and proficiencies to practice as genetic counselors in a variety of settings including prenatal, pediatric, adult, and cancer genetics.

The UNCG Genetic Counseling Program is fully accredited by the American Board of Genetic Counseling (ABGC) and was designed in accordance with guidelines provided by the ABGC. Graduates of this program are eligible to apply to the ABGC for Active Candidate Status and to sit for the ABGC Certification Examination. Our graduates have found exciting employment opportunities, from the first graduating class of 2002 to date!

The application deadline for Fall 2012 Admission

is December 1, 2011.
