FACULTY & STAFF - Benefits & Responsibilities

THE LEARNIING COMMUNITY SMALL GROUP PRESENTATIONS:
The small group presentation is a required assignment in all sections of the UNS 105 course. This involves breaking the students into small groups, and requiring each small group to research and present on a particular topic that relates to a broader and more overarching theme or issue identified by the faculty involved. During November, the whole of Grogan College is invited to a series of evenings on which the various small groups present their findings. The criteria are that each presentation or performance must inform, raise awareness and stimulate critical dialogue and reflection. Assigned and developed in the context of the UNS 105 course, this is a graded and required assignment. Faculty should plan to use this activity as the context for working on research, writing and speaking skills.
