The Gerontology Program joined the new UNCG School of Health & Human Sciences in 2011 !

The UNCG Gerontology Program delivers leaders in the profession UNCG Gerontology Program staff 2009-2010
with the highest quality transdisciplinary education in gerontology and performs basic and applied research, preparing students for academic and professional careers serving age-related markets nationwide.

  • UNCG Gerontology Research Network presents two free workshops in March 27 & 28, 2012 with guest speaker Judith A. Spross.
  • Dr. Laurie Kennedy-Malone (Nursing) has been named a fellow by the Gerontological Society of America (GSA). GSA fellowship, the highest class of membership, was awarded to Kennedy-Malone for her “outstanding and continuing work” in the field of gerontology.
  • Two UNCG Gerontology Program students, Rachael Wonderlin and Diane Haytr, were finalists of "Two Minutes to Win It", a competition to present entrepreneurial ideas to the NC Entrepreneurship Center at UNCG!

  • Online courses toward a Certificate in Gerontology will be offered starting Spring 2012!
